The power of reslience

Before we enter 2014, let’s take a moment to give thanks to God for the amazing blessings of 2013.  God is so good to us!  We celebrated Pastor Santiago’s 10 years of ordained ministry at Gloria Dei. Welcome Bishop Eaton

On Sunday, October 5th, Rev. Elizabeth Eaton, the new ELCA Presiding Bishop (the head of the Lutheran church in the US), will be installed in Chicago.  She is the first female Presiding Bishop in the ELCA.  She is articulate and decisive and emphasizes the importance to make room for differences in our church and find the commonality we all share as Christians.   She also encourages us as Lutherans to “go out into our communities” and more…

Godspeed and farewell
