We ended the month of October, the month of the Reformation. Now all of that happened nearly 500 years ago, and some may think that this is ancient history. But the Reformation is not history. Reformation is something that needs to happen over and over and over again. At the heart of the Protestant Reformation was the affirmation “ecclesia semper reformands, semper reformanda”: “the church is always reformed, always reforming.” The Bishop’s convocation this month challenged the audience to learn how to apply this affirmation in our local churches. The called was how to envision a missional church and joining God in the Neighborhood. Maybe we can say this using other words: Walking with Jesus in the Street. Yes, in some aspects the speaker describes the reality of Gloria Dei.
We want to celebrate in this month also the reception of six new members, they are: Manuel A. Jimenez, Mireya A. Grosso, Alejandro Miranda, Beato Martinez, Rafael y Rebeca Reyes. We rejoice in the Lord always! God bless these new members of the Gloria Dei family.
